The Leaf Support Brackets can be used for:
 
Storing the middle leaf out of sight in a gaming setup where the end leaves are both extended on brackets creating a central playing area (allows for gaming without needing to store any leaves anywhere else)
 
Storing a 4th extension leaf when the table is in 3-leaf dining setup
 
In full gaming mode, can be used with the leaves under the table to form shelves for cards, gaming chips, snacks etc.
